I stayed 10 days at Noa's forest and it was amazing ! I had an entire lodging for myself and the food prepared by Young Sook Jin was delicious (she prepared all the food for the volunteers and guests at the guest house). The nature is beautiful and I enjoyed hiking around in the mountain. Although there are no easy ways to travel around, Joowon can drop you off at the bus station when you ask so it is possible to move around. The work was diverse, when it was raining I worked inside and when it was sunny I helped planting tomatoes or preparing the soil. I would definitiely recommend staying at Noa's forest !

I had a wonderful time with ์„ ์ƒ๋‹˜ on her farm. I was there with 3 other wwoofers, and we did tasks such as planting small trees, weeding, going to the mango farm to stake/clip trees, helping with packaging processed tea, going to a tea etiquette class (my favorite) along with eating meals with her and family. They welcomed me into their home and were very kind and generous. To other wwoofers: I would recommend brushing up on your Korean, especially if you plan to explore Jangheung and beyond! Thank you so much ์„ ์ƒ๋‹˜!!!

As a first time woofer, this farm will definitely be one of my fondest memories of South Korea, and I cannot recommend it enough. Sangwon is a very passionate grape farmer, and will explain anything you ask him. It is definitely not mandatory to know about grapes to come here, so long as you are curious. The food was delicious, Sangwon is a great cook and while we were supposed to cook together, it mostly ended as the wwoofers watching him cook (sorry Sangwon). We ate every meal together, and talked about anything and everything. Sangwon's English is very good and for any topic. If you are looking to improve your Korean, it is also a good place ! The living quarters were perfect, it was a small house just for the wwoofers and occasionally Sangwon when he had to work early the next day. You have your own room and bathroom, and there's a big smart TV you can use as well as a spacious garden. He also let us borrow his bikes to ride around. The work hours were very respectful, we never did more than 5 hours per day and he was very honest with it. Usually, the day starts at 9 and we take the lunch break from 12-13-30/14 and work two more hours in the afternoon. The work was quite diverse, we planted new vines, cleared up the branches and did some weeding. Overall a fantastic experience, thank you so much Sangwon I would definitely come back if I had the chance.

I had the chance to spend two weeks with the ๊ทผ๋“ค people, living together like a big family in May. No it is jot only Jieun living there. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I can only agree to the feeling others already described on here. If you come to ๊ทผ๋“ค, even if you don't speak much Korean, they welcome you with open arms as short-term community member. I was able to come to them before and during the yearly festival time in May and it was an experience indeed. Of course you have your schedule of daily tasks you should do like working with the community members to prepare lunch or dinner, prepare vegetables for side dishes, clean the common areas and streets, help out in the Office or Cafรฉ or simply do some weeding in the garden. But you really see that everyone no matter the age or position does the same tasks together with you. My favorite experience was not only watching the very talented actors and musicians perform on stage but also being a part of the festival's children's play in the role of the prince. Even during the festival preparations and exhausting weeks for the village members they still kept their humor and fun while working really hard to make the festival a good one for their guests from Korea and other countries. I tried my best to work hard alongside them but they made me take a lot of rest as well so I could watch many of the performances during the festival. From Classical to traditional Korean music and magicians there is a lot to see and hear during their homemade festival. The...

I had a short and sweet visit to ํ‰ํ™”๋งˆ์„! Jinhwa was a very kind and generous host, and the other members of the community were incredibly welcoming too. My Korean language ability is fairly basic, so I felt bad that I sometimes didn't understand everything well. Everyone made their best efforts to communicate with me though, for which I am very appreciative. Overall, it was a positive experience! Thanks to Jinhwa, I was able to have many new experiences, meet new friends, and learn more about Korean culture. ๊ฐ์‚ฌํ•ฉ๋‹ˆ๋‹ค!

Ms Esther and Mr Geum were extremely accommodating to us and ensured that we were comfortable throughout our entire stay while still doing our part to contribute to their farm and village. We mainly worked on the fields with Mr Geum for around 5hours a day from Mondays to Fridays and on Saturday morning. He was really kind and treated us to ice cream and rice punch during work hours! Ms Esther also made snacks for us such as mugwort rice cakes. The other members of the village were also very accommodating, they are friendly despite language barriers and some even invited us to meals which we appreciate greatly! We really enjoyed our time here and are so grateful for all the people we met through this experience!

My time at ๋ฐฐ๊ผฝ๋…ธ๋ฆฌ was so wonderful. The land was beautiful, the work was balanced and satisfying, and the people were incredibly kind and genuine. Iโ€™m especially grateful to ์ƒ์ง ์‚ผ์ดŒ for his hospitality, openness, and wisdom. I learned so much through our conversations and time spent together. As a diasporic Korean, to be able to spend time in the homeland tending to the land and with such warm company is truly a gift. I will remember my time there fondly and truly hope to be back sometime soon!

Iโ€™m really blessed to have met everyone at the farm, especially Mr. Guem, whom we called the โ€œNature Designerโ€ because he taught us so much about farming and nature. If you come from city life, youโ€™ll really enjoy the peace and quiet here. The work was very hands-on, from farming to clearing the riverbed, and it was a meaningful experience. I also enjoyed meeting fellow WWOOFers from Singapore, the Netherlands, and the USA. Everyone was kind and welcoming. 3 meals a day and they were simple with repeated side dishes, but I never got tired of them. There are a bus which brings you to nearby town and the main train station. English is limited, but Papago makes communication easy. Overall, Iโ€™m very thankful for this memorable experience.

With our family we have had an amazing stay at the Sure mountain farm. The work was very fulfilling, the guests house was spacious and clean, the meals were tasty and ample, there even was a tennis court and woodwork shop. But most importantly the hosts were incredibly nice and did the utmost to make our stay pleasurable. We've been invited for restaurant dinners, taken to bus and metro stations, advised on activities in the surroundings, we sang karaoke together, dressed like historical Koreans and more. We hope to come back one day!!

I liked this wwoof so much I stayed an extra week! What I liked about it: 1) the host is a gem. She is still passionate about her work and still enjoys sharing her knowledge and knowhow despite the language barrier. She is also very patient when we try to speak Korean. 2) the work is meaningful. I went on purpose during tea-picking & making season and took part in several of the steps to process the tea. From picking to pressing the tea in different forms and going to tea classes and tastings. 3) the working conditions are well balanced. We worked 5 or 6 days a week between 6-7 hours a day, with a mix of physical work like tea-picking and relaxed activities like setting up meditation workshops. 4) the social environment is friendly. The host family is really kind - the husband cooks for us every day and tries his best at speaking English, the sister and the daughter treat us well too, engaging in conversation and basically treating us like one of them, not just like a passing help. 5) the location is beautiful and convenient. There's a bus stop just 5 minutes walk, and tourist sites within easy reach like the Cypress Healing Forest (30 minutes walk away!), Beosong tea plantation, Suncheon wetland or even Gwangju. So don't hesitate to request to stay there for at least 2 weeks! T

I am so grateful for the time I spent here and I cannot recommend WWOOFing here enough! I learnt so much about tea picking, processing and all the different types of teas. Naesoon Seonsaengnim creates a relaxed yet productive learning environment and shares her knowledge willingly. The tasks were sometimes repetitive but never dull and there's usually lots to do! However you still get plenty of free time to explore the area which is so beautiful! Everyone I met here was so kind and generous! You share lunch and dinner with Naesoon Seonsaengnim and her family who are all lovely. The food is always delicious too and of course the tea is outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will cherish the memories I made, thank you so much Naesoon Seonsaengnim and family!!!

I had the time of my life working with Naesoon Seonsaengnim ! From tea picking with the Ajummas, to the tea processing, all the shares meals with the family, the joyful moments and the visits they took us to. I could have not wished for a better experience, and would recommend 1000% If you want to enjoy the slow life of a little village in the south of Korea, that's the place to go. Once again, I would like to thank Seonsaengnim, Ajusshi and Youyoung for the amazing time in their company.
