<GB116>자연의 철학과 과학을 배우는 아이들의 체험학습장 / A Hands-On Learning Place for Children to Explore the Philosophy
경상북도 / Gyeongsangbuk-do

======== English explanation ==========
✅Host Introduction & Free Farm Introduction :
After living abroad for 20 years (in Europe and Singapore), I returned to Korea in 2022 and settled in Bonghwa to pursue a free and healthy lifestyle. I have been interested in permaculture farming since my time in Europe and am currently in the preparation stage of implementing this method. In the future, I plan to integrate the principles of permaculture with science and art education to create a nature-based learning center.
I also intend to gradually transform the 25,000-square-meter forest next to my home into an educational and healing space, including walking trails for children. With extensive experience living abroad, I am comfortable communicating with foreigners both linguistically and emotionally. My family (husband and two university-aged children) visits only on weekends, and they, too, are comfortable interacting with foreigners. As a beginner farmer, I welcome those willing to learn and experiment together.

March 2025
I spent a wonderful week in Bonghwa with Mimi, Joy🐶, and Christmas🐱.
This was my fourth WWOOFing in Korea and probably the best! Mimi's house is located on a small, quiet hill surrounded by nature. The work is hard, but it is gratifying to see the progress at the end of each day! I stayed for a week at the end of March, helping to remove weeds and put down vinyl as part of her educational farm project. This is a wonderful project that is moving forward step by step, and which I hope will materialize in the next few years!
If you like nature, quiet, and farm work, this WWOOFing is for you. You will discover Korean gastronomy as Mimi prepares delicious dinners, and you will spend convivial moments, like at home🏠.
Thank you, Mimi, for welcoming me and for your authenticity.❤️

Leisa (USA) : I had the most incredible two weeks WWOOFing with Mimi and her wonderful family! From day one, she welcomed me with open arms and treated me like a friend. Mimi’s cooking is absolutely delicious—I looked forward to every meal, from hearty homemade dishes to tasty local specialties.
Beyond the amazing hospitality, Mimi made sure I got to explore the local area! I got to experience a local festival, take fun Zumba classes, and explore the charming town. Mimi also made sure I had time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. She truly cares about her volunteers and goes above and beyond to make the experience special.
I’m already counting down the days until I visit again this summer! If you have the chance to stay with Mimi, don’t hesitate—it will be an unforgettable experience!
