도시에서 친환경적인 삶을 살고자 노력하던 두 사람이 2017년 봄, 농사를 지으며 자급자족의 삶을 살아보겠다고 집과 밭을 빌려 양평으로 이사했습니다. 300여 평의 땅에 저희 식생활에 필요하다고 생각하는 작물들을 다양하게 심고 있으며, 자급농을 목표로 땅과 농사에 대해 배워나가는 중입니다. 토종 씨앗에도 관심을 가지고 있습니다. 토종 씨앗을 나눔받아 증식하여 다시 나누는 모임 활동에 참여하고 있습니다. 앞으로도 지속가능한 삶과 농사에 대한 고민들을 계속 해 나가려 합니다.

✅ 생활에서 친환경 실천 사항 : 일회용품 사용을 줄이기 위하여 외출할 때 텀블러와 개인수저를 가지고 다닙니다. 음식물쓰레기는 퇴비로 만듭니다. 주방에서 나오는 허드렛물을 모아 밭에 줍니다. 친환경세제와 비누, 화장지를 사용합니다. 쓰지 않는 가전제품 코드는 뽑아놓습니다. 오줌을 통에 모아 변기 사용을 줄이고 발효 후 액비로 사용합니다

✅Introduction to the Host and the Farm :
In the spring of 2017, two people who had been striving for an eco-friendly life in the city moved to Yangpyeong, renting a house and farmland to pursue a self-sufficient lifestyle through farming. On about 300 pyeong of land, we grow a variety of crops that we believe are essential for our diet. We are learning about farming and the land with the goal of self-sufficiency.
We also have a deep interest in heirloom seeds and participate in a community that shares, propagates, and redistributes them. Moving forward, we continue to explore sustainable living and farming practices.

- Collecting urine to reduce toilet use and fermenting it for liquid fertilizer

Lisa Bernhauser (Austria) : I already visited them twice. Once in spring and once in autum.
The communication is super smooth since they both speak english well.
Their house maybe a little small but still its full of love and really comfortable. Even thinking about the food makes me hungry and miss my time there! 정화 always cooks and bakes the best things and you always get to eat so many different things.
The work is not hard and i really like their way of farming/living. On two days they work on a community farm in the city. I met many nice people there and was happy to be able to experience a different type of farming.
On the free days they took me to really nice places. They helped me alot when i had questions/needed help in various situations!
Its not far from Seoul so you’re able to go to Yangpyeong with the subway.
I hope to be able to visit them again soon!
