======== English explanation ==========
✅Introduction to the Host and the Farm:
This farm was established by a Christian-related community organization. Founded in 2011 on an 80,000-pyeong mountainous area, it has been developed into a natural farming complex.
WWOOFers will participate in activities such as cultivating medicinal herbs and vegetables, growing fruit trees, raising chickens, collecting heirloom seeds, and beekeeping.
Beyond farming, we also run an international school, a youth camping site, and a village community consisting of 35 households. Through farm work, observation of nature, and dialogue within the community, we seek to learn about the warmth of the unseen world—light and water, soil and air, microorganisms and plants.

There are so many things that make Dure as enjoyable and magical as it is. This was my first WWOOFING experience and my first time in Korea, I was here for a month and I feel like I hit the bullseye with this place. The hosts Mr. and Mrs. Kum are upbeat charismatic personalities who know how to make you feel seen, celebrated, and valued. Mr Kum loves to sing and dance, playing his music with you, he likes to talk about his philosophies on the earth and nature, and often making jokes and sharing his warm goofy spirit. Mrs Kum is a smart thoughtful person who enjoys teaching about Korean culture and health. She loves to take pictures, and to bring snacks to you while on your break time. There is also Seth! a hard working english speaker, who helps out with everything and ensures you are doing well and on the right track. There’s many more lovely people to meet and befriend in the village at the cafeteria or cafe. The scenery is amazinggg, during my stay it was snowy, sunny, rainy, and everything in between. There are vast fields and beautiful mountains you can traverse and explore. There is also a bus stop which can take you to fun places such as Uijeongbu, Jihaeng, and even Seoul. I was lucky in having fellow WWOOFERS who I got very close with, and were able to share the experience through the same lens as me. Coming to Dure has given me bounds of hope in what Korea is and the type of people you’ll meet. I miss you all and can’t wait to return sometime soon!!!!

My time at Dure was truly amazing. The hosts are such kind and thoughtful people, and their love for music truly transcended the language barrier. I especially appreciated the snacks that were brought during breaktime!
This was my first time wwoofing in Korea, and I’m really grateful for this experience. Since it was winter, there wasn’t a lot to be done in terms of farming. We mainly focused on landscaping and cleaning the river, but I still got to do a variety of tasks. The working hours aren’t always consistent, but I didn’t really mind.
The food at the cafeteria can be repetitive at times, but it’s still so delicious. Breakfast is at 7 am, lunch at 12 pm, and dinner at 5 pm.
I had the best time meeting fellow volunteers, hiking, exploring the village, going on excursions into the city, and taking day trips during our off days. I’m also very thankful for the people at Dure who were so kind to me and even had us volunteers over for dinner.
I’ve done several volunteer experiences in the past, and I love how this one truly felt like a family. This experience will always hold a special place in my heart.

I’d just like to share that I had an amazing experience at the farm thanks to Mr. Guem and Mr. Esther They were truly wonderful. I’m so grateful for the time we spent together, dancing, sharing our countries, and learning from one another’s cultures.
It was a beautiful experience getting to know people from different places and exchanging our traditions in such a small, cozy, and welcoming space. I never imagined that winter, which can be quite harsh, could feel so meaningful and warm. Mr. Guem and Mr. Esther truly made it a special and unforgettable experience.
I’m incredibly grateful for everything. Thank you for creating such a wonderful memory.
Warm regards,
Lourdes

This farm, located within a community village, truly had the strength and spirit of a working community. Since it was winter, I didn’t get to see crops being grown or fields being cultivated, but I mainly worked on landscaping—cutting reeds along the stream where valley water flows.
I stayed alongside four other WWOOFers, and working together with several people gave me a great sense of positive energy. Most of the work was done in the afternoon while the sun was up, and the host was very thoughtful, always trying to make sure the WWOOFers could work as comfortably and enjoyably as possible.
Meals were shared at the community dining hall, which felt like a comfortable and low-pressure arrangement for both the host and the WWOOFers. In particular, there was a separate house prepared specifically for WWOOFers, which made the stay especially comfortable.
It was a farm where I could enjoy meaningful time with WWOOFers from many different countries and truly feel the warmth of the community—chatting with the kind village residents and working together to help one another.
If you’re someone who enjoys taking photos, sharing moments, and is open to connecting with others, this farm will offer an especially rewarding WWOOFing experience.
