✅ Introduction to the Host and the Farm :

If I had any advice for future WWOOFers, it would be to come with a friend if you can, so you can contribute to the work more meaningfully! Though don't be afraid to sign up as a solo traveler - I was lucky enough to meet a great WWOOF friend during my stay here, so you might too :) Also, the weather can change quickly, so I definitely recommend bringing a variety of clothes for warm and cold weather (and an umbrella). The persimmon dyeing is very fun, but it will definitely stain your clothes, so make sure to wear clothes that you are okay with staining! There's a CU convenience store only a 7 minute walk away if you happen to forget anything. Lastly, some tourist activities/destinations I recommend for your time off: I really enjoyed my first time boat fishing on the waters near Chagwido Island, visiting the artist village in Jeoji, taking a walk in Gotjawal Forest, and going to Hyeopjae Beach. I'd recommend downloading Kakao Taxi if you can to get to locations that are farther/more difficult to get to by bus. I had a great time here and I hope you do too!

Kimberly (Singapore) : This was my first WWOOFing experience and I had an amazing time! Our host, Kim Yangsuk, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She made sure that we had everything we needed in our accommodations and I especially looked forward to her homemade lunches everyday.
Our work took place usually in the morning from 830am - 12pm, leaving the afternoons free to explore the rest of Jeju. We picked tangerines in the crisp Jeju weather in Dec, and we also got to take a break and eat some tangerines in the midst of our work.
I am thankful for this memorable experience and would like to extend my gratitude to the host for making my experience so special. I would recommend this farm to fellow WWOOFers - and I will be sure to brush up on my Korean to visit this farm again!

Sasha Staggs (USA) : This was my first WWOOF, and it has been the most amazing experience. Thank you so much to our host Kim Yang Sook sonsengnim 선생님, her son, Khyul 귤 (the dog who used to have no name), and my lovely coworkers / onnies 온니들 who made working so much more enjoyable! The studio was very comfortable and our host made sure we had everything we needed. The workload was very fair and we had lots of time to explore the west side of Jeju. I felt very welcomed from the first day and cared for until the last day. I will fondly remember making tangerine chips and especially drinking the juice (so delicious), seeing the dolphins, and visiting Sanbangsan. Everything, from the delicious meals we ate together to the fun conversations we shared, will stay with me for a very long time. I feel very blessed. You have been perfect ambassadors for Jeju and Korea. I appreciate all that I’ve learned from you about Jeju, your culture, language, traditions, cuisines, and farming. We will miss you! 감사합니다! I highly recommend this host and farm for your next WWOOF experience, make sure to practice a bit of Korean to ease communication :))

Emily Luu (Canada) : This was my friend and I's first WWOOFing experience and it surpassed all our expectations. We participated in numerous activities, such as dyeing clothes, weeding, harvesting, sorting, packaging and tasting hobak (sweet squash). Her farm is beautiful and spacious and we woke up to the sound of cicadas, rooster's crowing and swallows flying past our window. We usually worked from 7 to 11 and always had the whole afternoon/evening to explore Jejudo and its secrets (visiting all the volcanic rock beaches, hiking to see craters, going into lava tubes, sampling kyul, etc). Even though we didn't have a car, walking or taking the buses and taxis were very affordable and got us where we wanted. Cecilia was always there to guide us and help us out along the way, bringing us to many different restaurants, letting us try her wonderful home cooked meals and even bringing us out to see art expositions and museums.
Although she may seem to have a tough exterior, she's extremely loving and caring. We will cherish our time here for the rest of our days.
One word of caution : It might be hard to communicate if you don't know any Korean, because Cecilia does not speak much English. For those who are learning the language, it is a great experience! Cecilia has had WWOOFers who don't speak Korean at all, but you will probably not get the full experience.
It can also get very hot during the summer, but there is AC and two showers in the apartment! Beware of ticks as well, Cecilia has a lot of protective gear to prevent tick bites, so it's best to use it.
Don't let those words of caution stop you however, it really is an amazing experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Sarah Gotowka (USA) : Cecelia was an amazing hostess and inspiring farmer! She was super generous, funny and kind. The apartment for WWOOFers was new and clean, and you even get your own washer! Cecelia's downstairs studio and kitchen was a lovely place to commune together. She taught us so much about natural dyeing. She is an incredible teacher, artist and very knowledgeable with her craft.
