I felt lucky and somewhat apprehensive when Max accepted me saying  "I hardly accept woofers. You are one of the chosen." Having now spent 2 weeks on site, I understand why:  Max is very busy and has an unusual lifestyle that may not suit every wwoofer. His focus is on the horses and the pastures, and he has dedicated staff to do the hard work. Still, he managed to carve out some time and attention for me, carefully choosing the best places to go for lunch, buying me little commodities to make me comfortable (he lives without furniture), explaining the process to regenerate the land with horses, letting me chose my days off... So I tried my best to be a little useful and not a burden, I hope Max won't regret his choice!  In terms of the practicalities, there is no actual farm - I lived in Max' apartment, with my own bedroom and bathroom, and to go to the pastures or the stables, I either went with Max when he was available or I took a bus and walked. I worked in the morning:  grooming the horses, cleaning the stables if it had rained, fixing the stone walls or clearing up branches and vines with the staff. It is quite physical labour, the horses are small so you're spending a lot of time bent in half :) (Note that there are no toilets in the fields.)  Overall, I would recommend this wwoof for a week when Max and the horses are around, to people who are no snowflakes. Please don't hesitate to contact me for more details, my profile is open.

Dear Cecile, I just realized something now. Cecile did all the laundry and even left the place looking just like how Cecile would have kept it. I came to Jeju a few days ago, and seeing this now honestly surprised me. I also read the kind review Cecile wrote—thank you for that. Unfortunately, I couldn’t leave a review myself, and now it says I can’t anymore because too much time has passed. Anyway, I’m really grateful. Also, I have a place in Yeoncheon near Seoul. It’s not on any platform, but if you ever need a place to stay around there, you’re always welcome. There’s no furniture too, but there are several rooms and two bathrooms. It’s actually an apartment we use as an office, so you can stay there as long as you like. I can’t guarantee I am with you all the time. :) Let’s keep in touch if anything comes up. Again, thank you so much. Despite the difficult conditions, you were so understanding and accommodating—and even showed kindness to a messy, careless guy like me who doesn’t clean well. They say what matters most is how someone leaves. You left behind such a warm and beautiful impression, and I truly appreciate it. I hope our paths cross again someday. Kind regards Max
