✅ Host Introduction & Free Farm Introduction:
We are an after-school program that collaborates with traditional cultural artists who have relocated to the Yeoju area. Our goal is to educate local students about Korean traditional culture, including Samulnori (Korean percussion music), Bongsan Talchum (a traditional mask dance), and Taekkyeon (a Korean martial art).
Within our school, we also have a small library that serves as a community space for the elderly. Here, we offer various cultural programs such as digital literacy education, crafts, health-focused Taekkyeon, and dance classes. Additionally, we work together with local residents to bake rice bread, which we distribute to elderly individuals in need. Through these efforts, we are building a happy, community-driven educational space where everyone can thrive together.
This year, we plan to create a small garden and vegetable patch on our school grounds. Our goal is to practice a self-sustaining lifestyle by growing our own healthy food. At the same time, we want to provide visiting students with a hands-on experience—allowing them to plant seedlings, remove weeds, and finally, harvest crops. Through these activities, we hope to give them a deeper connection to nature and an appreciation for a more sustainable way of life.

I have a short and extremely fulfilling experience with Evergreen Nature school. Even though we only managed to stay there for 3 days, the wonderful experience is something we will carry with us for a long time.
An experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city life was what we need - we experience farm work (digging, harvesting of ginkgo nuts, gathering of branches), baking (cake and Sho - which were extremely delicious), cooking of our meals (I love the tteokguk!) and also a walk around the neighbourhood (including a visit to the market). It is so hard to believe that somewhere just 100km away from Seoul can bring about such experience.
The teachers (ssam) were all very welcoming, and we truly appreciate the many activities planned for us. ❤️
Thank you to all the ssam and fellow wwoofers for this experience, and hope to see you all again.

I had the best of time at EvergrennNatureSchool !
I was there during June and the weather was really hot, so we couldn't do much work outside but our hosts made sure we were never bored! Instead, we went to make and pack lunchboxes to distribute to people in the area, and it was a lot of fun! I also had the chance to take part in all the classes taught at the school every afternoon: I tried traditional dance, taekkyeon, traditional drums ... which was for me an amazing opportunity to learn about Korean culture.
I can only recommend wwoofing there, and I am very grateful to all the people I met and for all the gifts and memories I brought back with me <3
