제주도 서쪽에 위치하고있는 감귤농장 호스트입니다. 예전 5년간 우프를 통해 많은 분들과 지금까지도 교류하고 있습니다. 다녀간 우퍼분들의 결혼소식, 취업소식등 많이 들렸고, 제주여행오시면 다시 만나곤 했을 정도로 즐거운 우핑활동을 했었습니다. 귤농사가 주인데 지금은 감귤체험농장을 하고 있어서 여러 재미있는 일들이 있곤합니다. 주변에 볼거리 놀거리 맛집이 많습니다.

✅ Introduction to the Host and the Farm :
I am a tangerine farm host located on the west side of Jeju Island. Through WWOOF for five years, I have met many people and I am still keeping in touch with them. I often heard news of their weddings and jobs, and sometimes met them again when they visited Jeju. These were truly joyful WWOOFing experiences. Our main work is tangerine farming, but now we also run a tangerine experience farm, so many interesting things happen. There are also many attractions, activities, and good restaurants nearby.

제주도에서의 이번 WWOOF 경험은 저에게 평생 잊지 못할 소중한 추억이 되었습니다. 무엇보다 저를 단순한 봉사자가 아닌 가족의 일원으로 따뜻하게 맞이해 주신 호스트 가족분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
매일 수행했던 업무들은 매우 흥미롭고 즐거웠으며, 많은 것을 배울 수 있는 유익한 시간이었습니다. 제가 스페인어 사용자라 소통에 걱정이 있었음에도 불구하고, 번역 앱 등을 활용해 적극적으로 소통해 주신 배려에 깊은 감동을 받았습니다.
특히, 제 건강 상태를 세심하게 살펴주시고 돌봐주신 점은 무엇이라 표현할 수 없을 만큼 감사했습니다. 덕분에 낯선 곳에서도 안심하고 머물 수 있었습니다. 진심 어린 환대와 따뜻한 정을 나누어 주셔서 다시 한번 감사드리며, 제주도에서의 이 따뜻한 기억을 오래도록 간직하겠습니다.

My time as a WWOOFer on Jeju Island was a truly wonderful and rewarding experience. I am deeply grateful to my hosts for their incredible hospitality; from the very beginning, they made me feel like a true member of their family.
The tasks I performed were engaging and enjoyable, making every day productive and fun. As a native Spanish speaker, I especially appreciated their kindness and patience in using translation apps to ensure smooth communication at all times.
Most importantly, I want to highlight how much they cared for my health and well-being. Their attentiveness to my physical health was exceptional, and I am profoundly grateful for their support. I feel very lucky to have had my first experience as a wwoofer at Hippie Woong farm.
Because it's a pick-your-own farm, my work was not tiring at all. I mostly had to pick up the rotten tangerines off the ground or off the trees. Other tasks included cleaning up the bathroom, guiding foreign customers through the farm, and ad-hoc little tasks like putting stickers on bags. I also spent some time trying to help Hippie Woong digital set up for foreigners on Google map, TripAdvisor, Facebook and Instagram. He also likes to make YouTube videos so I played along.
I'm grateful he speaks English a bit and I am sorry to his wife that i was not able to communicate much with her.
My advice is that if you speak Korean, you will have a better time.
I was available for work from 9am to 5pm, which might seem long for volunteering, but as mentioned, the tasks were not tiring and there were lots of rest time in between. Wednesday is the day off when the farm is closed. Note that work might be different at other periods.
Accommodation is an upcycled container, with the office separated by a curtain. It's really cosy. There's a kitchen too. Lunch is usually at a local restaurant, and you do what you want for dinner. You'll be taken to the supermarket regularly to stock up.
Overall I recommend this farm to someone who is independent, happy to be on their own and doesn't need city life. It was a good fit for me! Don't hesitate to contact me (my profile is open) if you want more informatio
