======== English explanation ==========
✅ Host introduction and free farm introduction:
We run a vineyard and winery in Chungju. It is run together by a French husband and his wife, novelist Shin Ihyun. The farm is about 5,000 m², and in addition to grapevines, many other crops are planted. All the grapes grown in our fields are made into natural wine. We farm with consideration for the land and the environment, and we make wine with consideration for people. We also run cultural programs such as natural wine tasting in our space.
Our farm is based on permaculture farming and practices biodynamic agriculture. Various crops are planted, and we farm with the idea that while we grow fruit trees, we are also growing the soil. We believe that the field is not only a workplace for the farmer, but also a resting place where the farmer can take a walk. We dream of agriculture in which the land, the trees, and the people all feel comfortable.

March 2026
I stayed at this farm for about a week, and it was such a happy experience that it even made me dream of running my own permaculture farm someday. The farm is home to geese, chickens, and a very cute cat. There are not only grapevines but also many different kinds of trees and plants everywhere. It felt like stepping into a small universe made of vines and greenery. The place where I stayed was also beautiful and looked exactly like the photos.
If you visit this farm, I highly recommend reading the book The Taste of Terroir that you can find in the staff accommodation. If you read it on your first day, I think you will fall even more in love with the farm while you stay here. The book tells the story of Lee Hyun, the author, and Dominique, who deeply loves grape farming. It helps you understand how the wine is made here, and it makes the place feel even more meaningful.
The meals were always delicious, and the tea that was served was wonderful. Sometimes we were also offered wine, which was always very enjoyable. I liked it so much that I ended up buying a few bottles of wine before leaving. Nearby there is a famous hot spring area called Suanbo. There is even a small foot bath by the stream, and I highly recommend visiting it. This place offers a quiet and peaceful kind of happiness. I visited between the end of winter and the beginning of spring, and most of the work I did was pruning grapevines. It almost felt like meditation, and I truly enjoyed the experience.
