We had such a wonderful stay with Brian and Eva! We stayed with them for almost a week, and they made us feel welcome from the very first day. They were incredibly kind, easy to talk to. The work was very manageable and relaxed. We even felt that we could have worked more if needed, but because of the rain and heat it wasn't always possible to work. Eva cooked delicious meals for us, and we loved getting to taste some of their wines. It was also really nice that we had the chance to cook for them as well, so we could exchange recipes and dishes from our different cultures. They took us around the local area, introduced us to their family, and made us feel like part of it. As an extra bonus, we were able to stay in their Airbnb for a few days instead of the usual WWOOFer accommodation because there were no guests at the time, which made our stay even more comfortable. We truly enjoyed our time with Brian and Eva and would highly recommend staying with them. Thank you both for your generosity, hospitality, and for making this such a memorable experience! We hope you come visit us in The Netherlands.

Staying at Brian's was an amazing experience. Him, his wife, his brother, and all of his friends were extremely welcoming and kind. They spoke great english as well and I learned a lot on how to grow and tend to grapevines. The food and wine was amazing there as well!

I stayed with Brian and Eva at Salon de Machari for two weeks, and it was one of the best experiences I could have asked for. It was my first time WWOOFing, and just so happened to be Brian and Eva’s first time hosting as well. So, we got to learn together and I can confidently say they make great hosts. The farmwork on the vineyard is very meditative and not at all physically taxing. Other random tasks like helping around the property also were never very difficult nor very numerous. I had ample free time to do whatever I wanted, and the mountain they live on is so beautiful so I never felt all that bored. Also, Brian and Eva were really passionate about showing me around Yeongwol and all the surrounding areas. We went to two art galleries, went camping on a nearby mountain, ate a lot of local food from good restaurants, and I even helped teach an English class for a day at at local elementary school. The property is somewhat isolated, but we explored so often so I did not feel trapped in any way. They also have many friends and are involved in their community quite heavily, so there are plenty of people to meet besides Brian and Eva themselves. I would confidently recommend this stay to anyone. (Also cannot be overlooked how good the wine is and how much of it you get to enjoy during your stay! Definitely a perk you will not find at other WWOOF stays.)
